BEHIND THE SCENES: WHAT OUR DEMO & PREP PHASE LOOKS LIKE
On a recent job, we were brought in to perform a full steel demo and site prep package under tight coordination with the general contractor and other trades. We had a narrow window to get in, clean up legacy steel, and set the stage for installation.
Here’s how we executed:


FULL SITE MOBILIZATION & SAFETY SETUP
Our crew rolled in fully equipped: rigging gear, torch rigs, hand tools, ladders, PPE, gang boxes — all self-contained.

• 🔒 Site walk performed and barricades installed
• 🔥 Hot work coordinated under permit
• 🧯 Safety first — all operations run by a foreman with field supervision

We don’t touch steel until the site is dialed in.


STRUCTURAL STEEL REMOVAL: CLEAN, CONTROLLED, AND FAST

• Legacy steel members — columns, channels, I-beams, guardrails, and metal decking — were cut, rigged, and removed in controlled sequence
• Welded components and existing hardware were ground flush
• Interfering plates and obsolete connections were cleared out entirely

Every piece was rigged, lowered, and staged for clean disposal. We don’t leave a mess for the next trade. We leave it ready.


PRECISE FIELD LAYOUT FOR NEW STEEL INSTALLATION
Once cleared, our team took over layout and site prep for incoming steel.
We don’t guess — we field-measure everything.

• 📏 Snap lines and reference marks laid out
• 🧱 Coordination with the concrete and masonry teams to align load points and pier locations
• ⚙️ Decking edges, slab details, and anchor zones fully prepped for install crews

This work sets the pace for the entire steel phase.


CLEAN SITE TURNOVER – NO PUNCH LIST, NO SETBACKS
When we’re done, the jobsite is:

• ✅ Marked and ready for anchor setting
