PowdercoatingPowdercoating is the highest level of paint for Steel.
It’s Durable, Attractive, & Long Lasting. Powdercoating protects and preserves like no other. Compared to other finishes, powder coated surfaces provide greater resistance against chipping, scratching, fading, and corrosion. Picture Paint on a New Car*** Over 2000+ Colors to Choose From Free Samples Included PLEASE NOTE: Powdercoating is paint that is only applied to the surface of your item. If your item has a lot of decorative scrolls, twists / turns, or tiny crevices you might want to consider Hot Dip Galvanization before powdercoating to insure a long-lasting product. |
Hot Dip Galvanized:This process involves Dipping metal into a vat of molten zinc.
The zinc does more than just coat the metal, it metallurgically bonds to it, becoming part of it. These layers of zinc dissolve at a slow rate, essentially acting as sacrificial layers. Unlike powdercoating, which is a paint that is applied to only the surface of the Metal. Hot-dip galvanized steel railings are low maintenance. Coatings can last 25-50+ years When Hot Dip Galvanizing, The Molten Zinc reaches every tiny crevice, twist, and turn – it even goes INSIDE the hollow tubes – covering your item 100% Cons: It is difficult to control drips and sags and other surface imperfections when hot-dip galvanizing. The resulting surface is not as fine or smooth. Galvanized Steel Appearance: Galvanized coatings are typically bright and shiny when freshly galvanized. If left unpainted, the finish will weather to a uniform dull gray appearance within a year. PLEASE NOTE: you can paint over Hot Dip Galvanized Products for an Additional Fee, Please ask your sales representative for more information. This is considered Level 4A Example: Hot Dip Galvanized + Level 1 Rustoleum Paint |
Hot Dip Galvanizing + PowdercoatingIdeal for coastal areas, hot-dip galvanizing provides excellent protection from corrosion due to humid and salty sea air.
Hot-dip galvanized, and powder-coated steel is an excellent option for pool or swimming enclosures and oceanfront properties. Hot-dipped galvanized railings are a durable, low-maintenance option for marine and humid environments. Powder coating on top of galvanized steel allows you to select the color of your choice at its highest quality. If the powder coating is ever chipped, it will be protected by the hot-dip galvanized layer underneath. This is Double the Protection; Ideal for an item with many decorative Scrolls, Twists / Turns, & Tiny Crevices. It insures a long lasting product that is maintenance free NOTE: It is difficult to control drips and sags and other surface imperfections when hot-dip galvanizing items. The resulting surface is not as fine or smooth – even if you powdercoat after. |
